A Special Kind of Trendy

There's something so trendy about a college campus. And UVA has enough privileged diversity to touch on it all. The bubble makes the risks easier and then that confidence catches on. I'm completely confounded by some things and completely.tempted.by.others....

1. running shorts. Like the straight-up 1980s Prefontaine shorts. The girls wear them with a decent top and jewelry and makeup. And they come in all colors.

2. Cowboy boots - with everything

3. Swoop hair on the dudes - still alive and kicking

4. white grandpa socks pulled up

5. leggings (love 'em...I admit it.)

6. Tervis tumblers - I mean, my grandmother loved them because they didn't leave rings on the the table. I'm sure these don't even fathom the need to protect nice furniture.
